Making Money Ideas for Home, Computer and the Internet.

Want to learn how to make money?  Sure you do…I think most people would like money.  The problem is coming up with those making money ideas, especially ones that really work.  If you sit down and really think about it, you could probably come up with a few money making ideas.  For example, if you have some free time and don’t mind dogs, you could offer dog-walking services to your neighbors.  If you have some old clothes, jewelry or other items that are in decent shape, you could make money by selling them on eBay or Craigslist.

These are good ways at making money at home, but they might not help you make a decent amount of money.  Also, each of the making money ideas listed above require a bit of work and interaction with other people.  If you would rather learn about some ideas to make money at home, then check out a few listed below.

A great money making idea is CashCrate.  It is a website that is completely free for you to join.  You earn money by doing several things.

You can complete offers they have.  These are typically things such as filling out forms for information, trying samples, or even testing out a program/product.  There are many offers are 100% free and require no credit card at all.  There are also offers that require you to pay shipping for a sample item or to use your credit card to pay for a short term trial membership (typically only a few $$).  These offers earn you more money, and if you plan out how you complete the offers, you could make a lot of money.

Another making money idea with CashCrate is to fill out surveys.  The only requirement for these make money ideas is your time.  Some may be larger payouts, while others smaller.  It is another one of the making money ideas you can leverage with CashCrate.

There is also a section where you can earn a percentage cash back for purchases to many retailers and websites.  While these would require you to purchase, and would not be the best way to literally make money, they do allow you to get a percentage cash back for items you already need to purchase.  This allows you to buy the things you already need to buy for work, school, home, health or personal life and earn some cash too.

Lastly, you can refer people to CashCrate.  Since you can sign up for free and earn money by completing offers for free, it is pretty easy to convince people to give it a shot.  When they sign up and start making money at home for free with all the offers, you will make a percentage of their earnings.  If you refer a lot of people who all start earning money, you could potentially earn a large sum of money simply by your referral payments.  You can earn even more money if those you referred start referring others.

If you want great making money ideas, you should look no further than your computer.  Just click on one of the “CashCrate” links, sign up and start making money now!!

Learn to Earn Extra Cash with a Garage Sale

Garage sales typically are not associated with making a decent amount of extra cash, but the truth is that they may be a fantastic home money making opportunity.  In order to make this successful, you want to take a few things into consideration.
1.    You must have items that provide some value, even if they are not valuable to you.
2.    Your items must be clean, or able to be cleaned
3.    You need a wide variety of items
4.    You have to advertise your garage sale

First thing to consider is the fact that in order for you to make extra cash with your garage sale, you must have items that provide value to someone.  The old saying that one person’s junk is another person’s treasure can certainly apply here, but not if your are items are junk worthy of the dumpster.  Popular items are movies, video games, toys, books, clothing and furniture.  Antiques, sports equipment and tools can also do fairly well.

Second thing to consider is that your items must be presentable.  If they are very dirty, and incapable of being properly and thoroughly cleaned, then they are not fit to go in your garage sale.  Imagine walking into a store somewhere, and finding all the items filthy and dirty.  That would not entice you to buy anything.  The same goes for your garage sale.  Spend time cleaning items so they look nice, and you increase your odds of selling your items and making some extra cash.

Third thing to consider is that you want to offer up a variety of items for sale.  If you are only selling a table full of toys, the odds of having success are relatively low.  Instead, if you provide a variety of items, appealing to multiple age groups, then you have a better chance to earn extra money.  This might require you to do a little preparation before hand.  Visiting your local thrift shop with a few dollars will allow you to stock up on a few items.  Typically, you can find items there for extremely low price, but that might be dirty.  With a little cleaning, those items could be worth a lot more.  This practice will allow you to provide a nice spread of items for sale.

The last thing to consider is how you advertise your garage sale.  The most common thing people do is post a few handwritten sings up on telephone poles and stop signs a few days before the garage.  If a business were to only have a few handwritten signs to advertise its location, it probably would not get much attention.  You should take that into consideration when advertising your garage sale.  Utilizing Craig’s List will be your first step in advertising your garage sale.  Craig’s List will allow you to post a free listing advertising your garage sale.  Make sure you post it in the proper place so that it gets the most attention.  You should also consider joining online bulletin boards and discussion boards that are based locally, and make posts about your upcoming garage sale.  Lastly, you should take posting signs to the next level.  Take some time to design a nice advertisement that you can print out on paper.  Use colored paper to capture attention.  You can ask to place these items on community bulletin boards.  Good places to look for community bulletin boards are coffee shops, local colleges and universities, libraries, grocery stores, some restaurants, and gas stations.  The more places you have your advertisements, the better chances you have to make money and extra cash from your garage sale.

Make sure that you put important detail in your advertisement.  List the categories of items you will be selling (highlighting any “big ticket” items), location of garage sale, and hours of operation.  These details could entice more people to come to your garage sale, increasing the odds that you will earn money fast.

If you follow these four steps, you might have a great opportunity at home money making.  Garage sales don’t have to be the stereotypical ones full of ratty clothes and dirty dinner glasses.  With some time, preparation, and thought, you could turn the garage sale into a home money making business on the side.

Part 3 – Updating Your Blog…Brainstorming

To maintain your readers and continue to build your blog’s “brand name,” you have to update regularly.  Remember, these readers are your money making opportunity.  This will require you to find new and fresh ideas to write about.  Hopefully you will have a good idea of how to brainstorm for new ideas after this article.

When you decided to begin blogging, whether to flee the drudgery of your workplace or to simply add a residual income stream, you probably thought that it would be something you would enjoy.  It can be, but if you choose to write only about boring topics, you will soon hate it.  You should try to choose topics you have passion about, are interested in, or at least know a lot about.  This is something you should definitely do in the beginning to get going, but would be a good idea to continue with as your blogging empire grows.

As discussed in part 2 of this 10 part series, Choosing the Content of Your Blog, you should make your blog feel welcoming.  Visitors should feel like everything is addressed to them, and that a person is writing the blog articles, and not a robot drone.  Your personality must show through in your writing, and this is much easier to achieve if you write about something you really enjoy.

After you have chosen the main theme of your blog, you need to get into a habit of posting at least every 1-2 days.  This is critical!  The posts don’t have to be huge every time.  Sometimes writing a quick 100-word post about a news story related to your topic is all you need.  Keep writing as much as you can, as long as the content is relevant to your blog’s subject.  This momentum will continue to build, and eventually will be hard to stop.

Eventually you will find it harder and harder to come up with topics.  Use some of the ideas below to brainstorm

1) A great way to come up with topics is to investigate into what similar blogs are posting.  The two places to start are blogsearch.google.com or technorati.com.  These will help you search for blogs that are related to your blog’s subject.  Don’t copy other blogs.  Again, DON’T COPY OTHER BLOGS.  Having similar topics is okay, but copying is a terrible idea.  It will get you into trouble, and will not help you out.  Use other blogs as starting points for your brainstorming, and write unique articles from those starting points.
2) News articles, both in the newspaper, online and on TV, are great things to use and talk about on your blogs.  You can give summaries of them or discuss them, whichever would fit in with your blogging style best.
3) Forums are another great tool to give you ideas to brainstorm about.  Search for forums related to your blog’s subject, but don’t join every one.  Limit yourself to just a few, as you need to be able to keep up with checking them.  Ask questions, answer questions and have conversations with people that have similar interests.  This will give you a lot of good information to brainstorm and write about.

In addition to providing visitors with new information, posting every day (or at least every 1-2 days) will show the search engines that the website is active.  This will give you a better rating and more traffic as a result.  More traffic means more opportunities to earn money.

We will talk more about generating traffic later, but keep it in mind when writing.  The most important thing that you can do is constantly adding information to your blog.  Make sure it is relevant, and not a repeat of an earlier posting.

Keep posted for our next part of our series on My Make Money Guide.
